Keeping it simple

This New Year’s Eve we stayed in. No partying, no jostling around with people pretending to be dancing, no excessive inebriation. None of it. Just us, at home, some music, and the glow of the lamps around us.

And with it we also gave the hangovers, the sense of dread and question marks about what-happened-last-night, a complete miss. The beauty of it was waking up with a sense of wanting to do something fun and new, rather than staying in bed to nurse a throbbing head.

So cook we did. This is what came of it.

We couldn’t have had a happier non-celebration. I hope you guys had wonderful celebrations to ring in the new year.

    1. How nice.. I wish we had a slight wintry feel..a bonfire would have been perfect. Last year the temperatures dropped enough for us to have a bbq, this year, not a chance..
